1. Introduction
Welcome to T&C Logistics ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our courier and logistics services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
T&C Logistics provides same-day courier services across the UK and Europe, including:
- Urgent same-day courier delivery
- Heathrow air freight collections
- Business and private courier services
- Multiple vehicle sizes (Small Van, SWB, XLWB, Luton TL)
- Real-time tracking and support
3. Booking and Payment
3.1 Quotes and Booking
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you provide. Final charges may vary based on actual collection/delivery details, waiting time, and additional services required.
3.2 Payment Terms
- Private Customers: 100% prepayment required before collection
- Business Accounts: Net 30 EOM terms available upon credit approval
- Handler Fees: Charged at cost with receipts provided
- VAT: All prices exclude VAT (20%)
4. Pricing
4.1 Standard Rates (per mile)
- Small Van: £1.10/mile (minimum £45)
- SWB Van: £1.35/mile (minimum £55)
- XLWB Van: £1.60/mile (minimum £95)
- Luton TL: £1.65/mile (minimum £140)
4.2 Additional Charges
- Waiting Time: £0.50/min (after 10 minutes free)
- Out of Hours: +50% (evenings, weekends, bank holidays)
- Wait & Return: +50%
- Extra Drop: £10-15 per additional delivery point
5. Collection and Delivery
5.1 Collection Times
We aim to collect within 30-90 minutes from booking confirmation. Exact collection times depend on driver availability and traffic conditions.
5.2 Delivery Times
Delivery times are estimates only and subject to traffic, weather, and unforeseen circumstances. We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
5.3 Failed Deliveries
If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address, recipient unavailable, or access issues, additional charges will apply for redelivery attempts.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1 Goods in Transit Insurance
All shipments are covered by our standard goods in transit insurance up to £50,000. Higher value shipments require advance notification and additional insurance charges may apply.
6.2 Limitations of Liability
- Maximum liability limited to declared value of goods
- Not liable for consequential losses or business interruption
- Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
- Fragile items must be declared in advance
6.3 Exclusions
We are not liable for loss or damage to: cash, jewellery, precious metals, works of art, antiques, or any items not properly packaged.
7. Prohibited Items
We do not transport:
- Hazardous materials (explosives, flammable liquids, toxic substances)
- Illegal goods or contraband
- Live animals
- Perishable food items (without prior arrangement)
- Items exceeding vehicle weight/size capacity
8. Cancellation Policy
- More than 2 hours before collection: Full refund
- 1-2 hours before collection: 50% charge
- Less than 1 hour or after driver dispatched: Full charge
- Customer unavailable at collection: Waiting time charges apply
9. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate collection and delivery addresses
- Ensuring goods are properly packaged
- Declaring the correct value and nature of goods
- Ensuring someone is available at collection and delivery points
- Providing accurate contact information
- Informing us of any special handling requirements
10. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data provided is accurate.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute:
- Contact us within 24 hours of the issue
- Provide detailed information and evidence (photos, receipts, etc.)
- We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
- If unresolved, disputes will be governed by English law
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
