How we group our services — and why it matters to your booking

Logistics work splits along three lines that buyers do not always see when they request a quote: speed tier (when does it need to arrive), cargo class (what is it, and what regulation does it pull in), and access (how does it leave the building and how does it enter the destination). Sending an under-priced job creates two failures: an under-spec'd vehicle that cannot complete the work, and a customer relationship that thinks it was overcharged. Sending an over-priced job hides the real cost of the route from the buyer and trains them to look elsewhere.

We have organised our service catalogue around the actual decisions a logistics coordinator makes — speed first (do I need a same-day, a time-critical, an overnight, or a planned standard delivery?), then cargo (is it temperature-controlled, regulated, oversized, or handled?), then access (does it go airside, does it need a tail-lift, does it need a two-man crew?). Speed-tier services — when timing is the primary constraint

Same-day courier

Collection and delivery inside the same calendar day, typically a 4–8 hour total window. Anything inside the M25 we can book and complete up to roughly 19:00; long-distance routes (London to Edinburgh, Bristol to Manchester) need an earlier booking cut-off but still complete same-day if dispatched before noon. This is the working majority of urgent B2B courier work — single dedicated vehicle, GPS-tracked, single driver, no consolidation, no warehouse handover.

Urgent courier and time-critical delivery

The next tier up from same-day, when the job has a hard deadline: legal filings, court documents, production-line replacement parts, medical emergencies, post-incident kit. We dispatch a dedicated vehicle within 30 minutes of confirmation, run with priority routing (avoiding M25 peaks, motorway diversions in real-time), and provide live ETA tracking. Time-critical is the heaviest service tier — typically used when the cost of late delivery exceeds the cost of dedicated transport by 10× or more.

Express delivery and next-day delivery

Planned same-day or next-business-day completion at a more predictable price point. Express is faster than next-day (priority collection window, often before-9am or before-noon at destination), while standard next-day completes by end of business. Both run on consolidated routes where vehicle utilisation is optimised — which is what makes them cheaper than dedicated same-day. Suitable when there is real urgency but no hard deadline.

Overnight delivery

Collection in the evening, delivery before 9am the following working day. Common for retail replenishment, in-store stock movements, and any operation where the morning shift needs the shipment in place. Drivers operate on tachograph rest-managed routes, and we hold spare vehicles at regional depots to absorb breakdown risk on the trunk leg.

Specialist transport — when cargo class dictates the vehicle

Pharmaceutical courier and GDP-certified pharma courier

For licensed medicines, ATMPs, clinical-trial supplies, and any MHRA-regulated cargo where temperature and chain-of-custody must be documented. Validated refrigerated vehicles (cold-chain validation pre-run), calibrated temperature loggers at three points, signed-and-time-stamped handover at every touchpoint, deviation reporting if any excursion occurs. Standard temperature-controlled is sufficient for cosmetics and nutraceuticals — GDP is for regulated medicines.

Biological samples courier

UN3373 Category B biological substances — clinical specimens, blood, tissue, swabs, pathology samples, sequencing material. Triple packaging (primary receptacle, leak-proof secondary, rigid outer marked with the UN3373 diamond), temperature management per protocol (ambient, +2 to +8°C, or –20°C/–80°C dry-ice), continuous chain-of-custody. Same-day to next-day tracked delivery into hospital labs, CROs, and research facilities. Most commercial couriers (Royal Mail, Evri, DPD) explicitly refuse biological samples — this is the dedicated service for clinical work.

Temperature-controlled transport and medical logistics

The broader cold-chain category covering non-GDP work: cosmetics, food, nutraceuticals, dental supplies, veterinary samples, and any consignment that requires a controlled temperature without the full pharmaceutical paperwork. We cover four bands — ambient (+15 to +25°C), chilled (+2 to +8°C), frozen (–18 to –25°C), and deep-frozen (–80°C via dry-ice) — using appropriately validated vehicles for each.

Hazardous goods (ADR) and lithium-battery courier

ADR covers nine classes of dangerous goods, from explosives (Class 1) through gases, fuels, and flammables to lithium-ion batteries (IATA Class 9). ADR-trained drivers, ADR-certified vehicles, and full documentation (UN number, packing group, net quantity per package, orange-board markings). For damaged or defective lithium cells (UN packing instruction P911 / LP906) we run dedicated fire-suppression- equipped vehicles with battery-specialist drivers — never mix a damaged Li-ion shipment into general cargo.

ADR Class 2 (compressed gases)

Compressed and liquefied gas cylinders: medical oxygen, industrial nitrogen, calibration gases, refrigerants. Cylinder securing, ADR Class 2 documentation, no-mixed-cargo rules. Common for industrial gas distribution, hospital oxygen supply, laboratory gas replenishment, and welding-supply trade work.

Manufacturing JIT (just-in-time) courier

For production lines running on lean inventory — a single missed collection stops the line and burns five-figure-per-hour costs. Pre-agreed slot times, named driver, escalation tree, and performance SLA. Often paired with AOG support for aerospace and prototype courier for automotive R&D work.

Aviation and airport services

Aviation AOG (Aircraft on Ground)

The most time-sensitive class of logistics work. An AOG event keeps a commercial or business aircraft out of revenue service, with industry-published downtime costs in the tens of thousands of dollars per hour. We coordinate dedicated urgent transport for parts and tooling to MRO sites at the major UK airports and arrange airport access via the relevant terminal handler. Available 24/7, with single-point-of-contact dispatcher continuity through the run.

Heathrow air freight collections and air-freight courier

Cargo-shed collections at Heathrow, Manchester, Stansted, East Midlands, and Birmingham — we arrange airport access and customs-bonded routing where required and coordinate with the handler holding your consignment. Freight, pallet, and international

Pallet delivery

Single-pallet to full-load consignments across the UK pallet network. We work with UK CHEP (1200×1000), Euro (1200×800), and quarter-pallet (600×400) formats; for over-height or non-standard loads we move to a dedicated Luton van or 7.5-tonne box rather than the network. Tail-lift collection and delivery is standard for sites without forklift access.

Freight forwarding

Multi-modal consolidation across road, rail, sea, and air. We handle the documentation chain (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, AWB, customs declaration), port and airport handling, transhipment, and final-mile coordination. Typical applications include EU imports above 1 tonne, far-east consolidations into Felixstowe / Southampton / London Gateway, and rapid air-freight inbound to the major UK cargo terminals.

International shipping and Ukraine–UK road freight

Household, white-glove, and event logistics

Furniture transport and white-glove delivery

Single-piece and full-room furniture moves with blanket-wrapped protection, internal positioning, and (on white-glove) unpacking, assembly, and debris removal. Two-man crew standard on items over 25kg or any first-floor-and-above delivery without a working lift. Common for gallery installations, executive home delivery, and high-end retail final-mile.

Wedding courier

Wedding cake transport (temperature-controlled vehicle, vibration- damped restraint, flat-floor LWB or Luton body), wedding dress and accessories, flowers, decorations, and venue logistics into rural locations (Lake District, Cotswolds, Yorkshire Dales). Hard time precision — weddings run to a fixed schedule and one missed arrival cannot be recovered.

Festival logistics and event logistics

Get-in and get-out coordination for music festivals, agricultural shows, sporting events, and corporate exhibitions. Multi-vehicle coordination, site induction handling, and crew-vehicle dispatch for staged loads. Typically paired with trade-show and exhibition installation where a single team handles transport, install, and breakdown.

Compliance, customs, and clinical services

NHS pharmacy courier

Inter-pharmacy stock transfers, urgent prescription delivery to patients, hospital-pharmacy distribution, and controlled-drug movements where chain-of-custody and audit trail are mandatory. Operates under GDP framework; bespoke SLA terms arranged with individual NHS Trusts at account setup.

UK customs brokerage and bonded warehouse UK

Customs entries (CHIEF/CDS), commodity code classification, EORI registration support, duty-and-VAT calculation, deferment account access, and inward processing relief. Paired with bonded-warehouse storage for goods awaiting duty clearance — particularly relevant for high-value imports where cashflow timing matters.

Transport and logistics consultancy

For operations buying logistics at scale: route design, carrier mix optimisation, SLA negotiation, ULEZ-fleet impact assessment, and post-Brexit cross-border process review. Typically a paid engagement leading into a longer operational partnership.

Personal and legal services

Passport courier and visa document courier

Same-day collection from embassies, high commissions, and visa processing centres in London. Recorded delivery to the applicant, named-driver continuity, and tamper-evident packaging for biometric and sealed documents. Common for last-minute travel and BRP collection.

Legal document courier and document delivery

Court filings to a deadline, witness statement collection, sealed deeds, conveyancing exchange, and any document where signed chain-of-custody matters. Hand-to-hand delivery with photographic POD, sealed-envelope handling, and witnessing where required.

Urgent key delivery

Airbnb host check-ins, lock-out emergencies, estate-agent key handovers, holiday-let serviced apartments. Verified-identity collection from the keyholder, recorded delivery to the next party, optional photographic confirmation of safe-deposit placement (keysafe, lockbox, smart-lock provisioning).

Prototype and R&D courier

For pre-production hardware moving between R&D, sub-contract manufacturing, and test facilities: tamper-evident packaging, confidentiality agreements at driver level, photo-documented handover, and same-day return capacity for failed prototypes.

How we route a job from brief to vehicle

1. Speed tier check: same-day, urgent, time- critical, express, next-day, or overnight? This sets the dispatch protocol and the price band.
2. Cargo class check: regulated (ADR, GDP, UN3373, ABP), temperature-controlled, oversized, handled (white-glove, two-man), or standard? This sets the vehicle specification and the driver qualification.
3. Access check: tail-lift, forklift, hand-ball at each end, airside permit, ULEZ entry, low-bridge route avoidance, narrow-gate restriction? This filters the available vehicle pool.
4. Documentation check: customs declaration, commercial invoice, MSDS, MHRA paperwork, signed POD requirement, photographic POD requirement?
5. Match to service: the first three checks usually leave one or two candidate services. We confirm with you, send a quote, dispatch on confirmation.
