Our Certifications & Compliance Framework

Trust in logistics starts with honest regulation. T&C Logistics is built on the certifications that matter for same-day courier work in the UK: hazardous goods compliance, cold-chain pharmaceutical standards, and aviation dangerous goods training. This page sets out exactly what we hold, how we apply it, and crucially, what we do not claim.
Do your drivers hold ADR certification for hazardous goods?
Yes. Our drivers hold valid European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) certification for transporting hazardous materials—acids, lithium batteries, flammable liquids, and corrosives—across the UK and into the EU.
According to the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE), approximately 8.3 million tonnes of hazardous goods move by road in the UK annually. We handle a fraction of that with full compliance: vehicle inspections, placarding, documentation packs, and emergency procedure training. Each driver undergoes regular refresher training to maintain certification validity.
We also ensure vehicles are fitted with the correct containment and segregation equipment. No shortcuts. No overloading. Documentation is auditable end-to-end.
How do you maintain cold-chain integrity for pharmaceutical shipments?
Our processes—temperature mapping, validated vehicle units, calibrated monitoring, and chain-of-custody—align with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical logistics.
The UK pharmaceutical distribution sector manages over £19 billion in annual revenue, and cold-chain integrity is critical. Our drivers are trained to recognise excursions, maintain separation protocols, and report deviations immediately. Vehicles are equipped with data-logging units and backup cooling systems.
We work with hospitals, research labs, and pharma suppliers who depend on this standard. It's not a licence; it's a discipline. We do not hold an MHRA wholesale dealer's licence (we are a courier, not a distributor), but our operational discipline mirrors GDP principles.
Are your staff trained for air freight and dangerous goods by air?
Yes. Our personnel hold IATA DGR certification for air freight operations—especially our Heathrow air freight and AOG aviation services—covering lithium batteries, Class 9 materials, and other air-restricted goods.
The UK air-transport sector comprises 3,093 registered companies, and gatekeepers like Heathrow enforce rigorous compliance. Our certified staff know packaging specifications, labelling rules, and documentation requirements. We co-load responsibly and escalate non-conforming shipments without exception. Aviation has zero tolerance for undeclared or incorrectly packaged hazardous items.
How do you handle confidential and sensitive goods?
All T&C Logistics drivers sign confidentiality agreements and operate under a strict signed Proof of Delivery (POD) protocol: single-signature pickup and delivery, no dual-signature workaround, no photographic proof of contents unless explicitly requested and contracted.
We handle sensitive goods—legal documents, medical records, biological samples—daily. This framework protects both us and our clients. Our founder emphasises: "Trust is earned through consistent, boring compliance. We follow the rules not because they're fashionable, but because they work. That's why clients stay with us."
Data from the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) shows that 1 in 3 SMEs lack formal data-handling protocols. We are not one of them. While we do not claim ISO 27001 certification or develop vetting (NPPV), our signed POD protocol and driver confidentiality agreements establish a disciplined approach to data handling.
What certifications do you not hold?
Transparency means stating exactly what we do not hold:
- ISO 27001 Information Security Management: We operate secure processes, but we do not hold external certification. If you need ISO 27001-audited logistics, we can advise you on partners who do.
- NPPV Developed Vetting: Our drivers are NDA-bound and background-checked via standard employment vetting. We do not undertake National Security Vetting for sensitive government contracts.
- MHRA Wholesale Dealer Licence: We are a courier, not a wholesale distributor. We do not hold pharmaceutical wholesale authorisation. For licensed wholesale logistics, we refer clients to licensed wholesalers.
- MIA Air Freight Agent Status: We use partner carriers for Heathrow air freight. We do not hold our own Master in Air Transport (MIA) designation.
This honesty matters. It tells clients exactly where we stand and what we recommend when we hit a boundary.
How does your compliance culture fit within the UK logistics sector?
The UK logistics and transport sector includes 122,667 registered companies across postal-courier, road transport, air, and warehousing, governed by the HSE, ICO, and CAA. We follow these rules not because they make us special, but because they keep goods safe, people safe, and businesses compliant.
Our 42 Google reviews (5.0/5 rating) reflect clients who've experienced this firsthand: on-time collection, correct temperature, proper documentation, and zero drama. That's the payoff of honest compliance.
How can clients verify your certifications and audit your processes?
Contact us directly if you want to check our driver certifications or audit our cold-chain protocols. We supply:
- ADR certificate copies (driver names redacted where appropriate)
- IATA DGR training records for air freight personnel
- Temperature validation reports for cold-chain vehicles
- Insurance certificates and liability cover details
- References from pharma, hazmat, and aviation clients
No mystery. No NDAs that prevent transparency. If a client needs proof, we provide it.
"Every consignment we run is treated as the family or business-critical asset it is. Signed proof of delivery, GPS tracking on every vehicle, and a driver briefing per assignment — that's the standard we hold, whether the job is a Saturday cake to a Gower venue or an AOG spare to Heathrow." —Taras, Founder, T&C Logistics
Questions
- Do you hold ISO 27001 certification?
- No. We operate secure, NDA-bound processes, but we do not hold external ISO 27001 certification. If you require ISO-audited logistics, we can recommend specialist partners. For standard same-day courier work with confidentiality agreements, our protocols are sufficient.
- Can you transport lithium batteries by air?
- No. Our personnel hold IATA DGR certification for lithium batteries and Class 9 materials. We co-load via partner carriers into Heathrow and other UK airports. Documentation, packaging, and declarations are compliant with aviation dangerous goods rules.
- Are your drivers security-vetted (NPPV)?
- No. Our drivers undergo standard employment vetting and sign confidentiality agreements. We do not undertake National Security Vetting. For government or critical national infrastructure contracts requiring NPPV, you'll need a vetted logistics provider.
- Do you hold an MHRA wholesale licence for pharma?
- No. We are a courier, not a wholesale distributor. We align with GDP principles and run temperature-controlled, chain-of-custody logistics for pharma shipments—but we do not hold MHRA authorisation. For wholesale pharma distribution, refer to licensed wholesalers.
